De grootste uitdaging waarvoor machthebbers in de USA na de Val van de Muur stonden was hoe de oorlogsindustrie in stand te houden, de motor van het Amerikaans economisch handelen. Allereerst moest een nieuwe ideologie ontworpen worden, zeker toen ook nog de USSR verdween. Aldus kon in de toekomst, als in de gloriedagen na 1945, een vijandbeeld geschapen worden om oorlogsinspanningen te rechtvaardigen. Het resultaat kwam rechtstreeks uit het Pentagon onder de veelzeggende titel: “Clash of Civilizations”.
De noodzaak waarom de USA er niet aan ontkomen een oorlogseconomie draaiende te houden beschreef Jacques Pauwels al op een bijzondere heldere wijze in 2003. Hierop voortbordurend poneert Michel Chossudovsky een aantal vragen en stellingen n.a.v. de oorlog in de Oekraïne en de plannen die ontvouwd worden in het Project for the New American Century (PNAC)…
En welke rol is voor de NAVO weggelegd? Dat moge duidelijk zijn.

What is described in the PNAC document is the following, which reflects what is unfolding today before our very eyes in Ukraine:

• fight and decisively win multiple, simultaneous major theater wars;
• perform the “constabulary” duties associated with shaping the security environment in critical regions;
• transform U.S. forces to exploit the “revolution in military affairs;”
To carry out these core missions, we need to provide sufficient force and budgetary allocations. In particular, the United States must:
MAINTAIN NUCLEAR STRATEGIC SUPERIORITY, …
EXPLOIT THE “REVOLUTION IN MILITARY AFFAIRS”…
INCREASE DEFENSE SPENDING …
The military agenda of the Biden Administration is consistent with the PNAC guidelines: an operation which consists in the deliberate destruction of sovereign countries resulting in millions of deaths.
And why do Americans support this military agenda?
